A twelve-week intensive outpatient program, entirely by video, in the evenings — licensed Hawaii clinicians who treat mental health and substance use together. The clinical intensity of in-person treatment, without disrupting your life.

Our twelve-week program happens online, in the evenings, with licensed clinicians who treat mental health and substance use together. You join from the kitchen, the lanai, the bedroom with the door shut — wherever you can be honest out loud.
Twelve weeks, four evenings a week — separate mental health and substance use tracks, with a co-occurring path.
A weekly session with your primary clinician — the same person, all twelve weeks.
Evaluation and medication management by licensed prescribers, in the same case conference as your therapist.
A family session every other week — education as much as therapy, at a pace you control.
Secure, two minutes.
The basics, gently.
Your story, your pace.
Quick check-ins.
Meet your team.
Four counts in, seven to hold, eight counts out. We'll keep time — you keep going.
Permission, not pressure. Come as you are.
Groups run Monday through Thursday evenings, Hawaii time. Your care team is right here.

A few basics so your care team can greet you properly. Takes about two minutes.
This consent is about one thing: whether the words spoken in your group sessions may be turned into written text while the session is happening, so your facilitator can write accurate notes. It is your choice. Nothing is recorded until you press Agree & continue.
When your facilitator turns transcription on, a speech-to-text service writes down what is said in the session, with each line marked by who said it. After the session, a draft of the group's notes is prepared from that text: one summary of the session, and one note for each client about that client's own participation. Your facilitator reads, corrects and signs every note. A draft is never filed on its own.
No audio and no video of the session is recorded or stored. The written text is temporary. It is deleted when your facilitator has signed the notes for that session, and in any case within 72 hours.
A session is transcribed only if every client in the room has agreed. If one person has not agreed, the session is not transcribed for anyone. If someone who has not agreed joins a session that is being transcribed, transcription stops. While a session is being transcribed, everyone in it sees a notice on screen.
The note that goes in your record describes your own participation. Other group members are not named or described in a way that identifies them in your note, and you are not named or described in theirs.
Your facilitator and the Hawaii Virtual Care clinical team. Two Amazon Web Services tools process it on our behalf under our business associate agreement: one turns speech into text, and one, an artificial intelligence model, prepares the draft notes. Amazon may not keep the text or use it for its own purposes. The model does not make decisions about your care; your facilitator does.
While a session is being transcribed, the video service also sends the text to the device of each person in the session. The portal does not show it to clients and does not save it on your device.
The text is not a complete record. When several people speak at once, some words are missed, and capture can pause. Your facilitator's signed note, not the text, is the record of the session.
The text and the notes are part of your substance use treatment record. They are protected by the federal confidentiality rules at 42 CFR Part 2 and by HIPAA, the same as the rest of your record.
You can decline and still enroll and take full part in group. Your facilitator will write notes the usual way. You can change your answer at any time in your profile. If you withdraw, sessions you attend are not transcribed from then on. Notes that were already signed stay in your record.
This consent lets Hawaii Virtual Care share the parts of your record that show you are receiving substance use treatment. Those records have extra protection under a federal law, 42 CFR Part 2, and we cannot share them for the everyday purposes below unless you say so in writing. This is that consent. Read it at your own pace; nothing is recorded until you press Agree & continue.
Hawaii Virtual Care, a program of Hawaii Virtual Care LLC, 77-6621 Walua Road, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii 96740, and every clinician and staff member who provides care or support through the program.
Your substance use treatment records held by the program, which may include:
Psychotherapy notes and substance use counseling notes are not covered by this consent. They stay within your Hawaii Virtual Care treatment team, whose use of them is part of your treatment, and they are never sent to your health plan or to anyone outside the program under this consent.
For each purpose we share only what is needed for that purpose.
Under the 2024 revision of 42 CFR Part 2, one consent may cover all of these recipients for the purposes below without naming each one. We do not share your records with anyone outside these groups on the strength of this consent.
These are the same purposes described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which you can read from the row above.
You decide, and you can still enroll without it. This consent is how we bill your health plan for substance use services and coordinate with your other providers. If you leave the box unchecked, we cannot do either of those, and our team will go over self-pay options and what care looks like without outside coordination. Declining does not change the care you receive from us, and you can give this consent later at any time.
You may revoke this consent at any time by telling us in writing. Reach the Privacy Officer, Chandler Blanks, Chief Executive Officer, using the contact details in our Notice of Privacy Practices. Revocation stops future sharing; it does not undo sharing we have already done in reliance on this consent, and it does not undo a claim already sent to your health plan.
This consent stays in effect until you revoke it in writing, or until one year after your last date of service with the program, whichever comes first.
Every disclosure we make under this consent carries the notice below. A recipient that is a health care provider or health plan covered by HIPAA may use and share your records as HIPAA permits. Any other recipient may not share them further except as 42 CFR Part 2 allows. No recipient may use your records, or testimony about them, against you in a civil, criminal, administrative, or legislative investigation or proceeding without your written consent or a court order that meets the specific requirements of Part 2.
Checking the box and pressing Agree & continue is your electronic signature. We record your name, the date and time, and the version of this consent, and you may ask for a copy at any time.
This gives your clinician a head start so your first session is about you — not paperwork. Everything autosaves; skip anything you'd rather discuss live.
Two short, standard check-ins (PHQ-9 and GAD-7). Your answers set a baseline so you and your care team can see real progress — not vibes.
